The DZC-ATC-107N Photoelectric Isolation Interface Converter is compatible with the RS-232C, RS-422, RS-485 standards and capable of converting a single end RS-232 signal into RS-422 or RS-485. The built in photoelectric isolator offers a 3500V isolation voltage and the rapid Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) can effectively protect against lightning and ESD. It provides 600W lightning strike and surge protection on each line. Connects to a PC via a DB9 female connector at the RS-232 side, and connections on the RS-422 or RS-485 end via a convenient 7-port plug-in terminal. The DZC-ATC-107N Photoelectric Isolation Interface Converter can be used for point to point or point to multi-point communications. The point to multi-point allows the connection of up to 128 devices on the RS-422 or RS-485 networks with data transmission speed of up to 115.2KBPS. LED indications are available for power supply availability and communication flow. An external power supply of 9-24VDC is required to power the RS485/422 side while the RS232 side is powered by the communications port. All handshaking lines have to be connected to the RS232 port. |
